Here, you have the opportunity to buy these interesting language and culture related works and broadening your horizon.
Unfortunately, only here to buy, is the second part of the first volume (F to Z) as well as the complete second volume of this beautiful designed issue of the french-spanish-latin dictionary written by Francois Sobrino in 1791 and published by J. B. Delamollière. It is still preserved in the original leather binding, with gilded accents on the spine, red and green titles and colourful designed inner book covers. The condition is very good, light bumps on the edges and light scratches and rubbing on the covers, which are normal signs of use and are increasing the charme of these volumes, they still enhance every bookshelf.
Sobrino was a spanish gramatical expert and lexicograph. In these issues, not just words are translated trilingual, but also phrases and sayings of the three languages French, Spanish and Latin. There is also a geographical part, in which he describes venues, people and empires of the 18th century. It is very interesting to browse and read, which phrases were colloquially at the time and who used them, in which parts of the world and cultural context. A very informative and nice to have pair of books!
