“Now, don't be angry after you've been afraid. That's the worst kind of cowardice.”― Rudyard Kipling, The Jungle Book
"The Jungle Book", which is one of the great works of literature, here in the published and reprinted volume of 1897 by Macmillan. The story is based on Rudyard Kiplings experiences in India and the life of his foster family there. The tragic life of the many homeless children living in India built the base for the development of the character of Mowgli. Although some criticism was getting loud (because of the positive position towards colonialism, that is implied by some aspects of the story), the importance of "The Jungle Book" for the later literary development of children and adults and it's position as one of the best known and most succesful books is undeniable.
